It seems that the crown goes to Asus, one of the leading netbook brands. The ultra small, thin, light Shell is its’ new offering. Officially called the Asus Eee PC 1008HA, this feather-like netbook is a sure sign of good things to come. After all, isn’t the point of netbooks to be light and thin so that they are ultraportable? Let’s just hope that it won’t come loaded with a high price tag which would be a “no, no” in netbook land.

Wow, thats impressive. First we had bigger and bigger screens (and keyboards), now like every electronics market, theyre getting thinner and lighter.
now does this laptop come with a optical drive so i can put CD’s into it?
@Bri
i have not come across any netbooks that have an optical drive. netbooks are just too small to fit one in
if you want an optical drive, look for notebooks

I googled thin netbook because my main criteria is thickness. I read all of your rather long article, looked at all your pictures, and a complete waste of my time. The web is crowded with people who shouldn’t be on it.
If you HEADLINE “thin” then at least somewhere in your long-winded sales pitch put how THICK it is.
SHEESH.
Sorry to hear that you did not find anything useful on my site. The content here is obviously bound to be useful to some and to others not so much.
Thanks for taking the time to post! Peace…
