If you're new here, you may first want to read Hello, the introductory page that contains details on what Netbook Era is all about or you may want to check out the netbook buying guide right away or you may simply want to subscribe to the RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Just in case you’ve not had a chance to see the Advent 4213 netbook in all its glory, you can see more pics here (Photos: Advent 4213 opens door on 3G). The Advent 4213 netbook is a big bro or sis to the 4212 and it has 3G making it a mobile broadband bundle candidate (ie: get the netbook for a less than a hundred bucks but find yourself committed to a two year contract).

I have one of these, and bought a pay-as-you-go SIM for the 3G, which works ok.

I have it triple booting XP / Windows7 / Mac OSx86 right now, and it’s pretty good - 3G works with all three, although the OSD is, as yet, not behaving under OSx

Gaming performance - it’s sluggish even on something like Neverwinter Nights, and basically you’re better off sticking to Minesweeper or MahJong

But it’s great for business trips
